The bar does start at the beginning, so Reshade is open. My ReShade.ini does not have a KeyMenu value.. this is all it has.

find reshade.ini in the folder of the game you installed reshade for. Right click properties, security tab click edit, and add full rights for everyone. you can also set ownership to everyone here, which will also solve your problems. I downloaded ReShade for Sims 4, but this message "There were errors compiling some effects. Check the log for more details" kept showing no matter how much time I redownload it, I tried to download DirectX and .NET Framework 4.8.1, and I also tried to run TS4 as admin and turn off Edge Smoothing, non of these solved the bug...
If you need to modify the default Home/Pos1 hotkey to toggle ReShade's interface on, without having access to it, you'll have to change it out-of-game.
