Trying to install forge 1.20.1 but the installer will not open. I have downloaded the latest version of java and don't know what I'm meant to do now I have the file for the installer downloaded but when i open it it does not work. Please help
It searches in the common install folders {profile files} as well as the JAVA_HOME environment variable. It cant find it in either of those so it errors. What you could do is run the installer with java manually by doing: c:\program files\{wherever you installed java to}\bin\java.exe -jar {forge installer}.exe
