''The Sony a7III is the most popular camera used by professional photographers. 7% of pros use the Sony a7III mirrorless camera, with the Canon R6 mirrorless camera and Nikon D750 DSLR camera coming in joint 2nd and 3rd.'' You can disagree with me but this is what the statistics are saying.
I am using the new DJI Mic on my Sony a7iii. Just did a quick test with a friend and me, had the aux cable connected correctly to the top of my Sony a7iii camera, but for some reason, I could only hear my mic while my friends was quiet…we both had them on the same place on our shirts, and I made sure I had everything connected correctly.
When the a7iii came out, it was the first $2000 MSRP full frame camera to shot 10 fps with autofocus, the AF system basically from the a9, brand new BSI sensor, which gave it some of the most competitive low light shooting, 4k video, and amazing battery life (especially compared to other mirrorless).
I don’t necessarily think it’s too good to be true, it’s just the used market rate for a 4-5 year old body. The real surprise to me is that Sony is still selling the A7III at the $2k MSRP. If I saw a used A7III for about $1200-1300 or a used A7RIII for about $1500-1600, I’d think that’s a pretty safe buy as long as the body seems to ...
If money is no object, the A7III is fantastic and blows both Nikon options out of the water. That being said, if you're looking for a general use camera and don't want to blow tons of money, I'd highly recommend staying with an APS-C system. The A7III with any lens is already blowing your budget, as you acknowledged.
I tried googling the answer to my problem but it's quite hard to describe it so I'm asking here instead. I have a Sony A7iii which I mainly use for filming/videography and recently whenever I access something on the menu to change a setting or do a playback, it quickly exits on its own. One time I had to playback a video on the camera and it ...
Sony, even if you sign buttons, or shortcuts, it still takes a bit to adjust. Can't say much about the weather sealing as the only time I took it anywhere with climate issues was Egypt, and it's sandstorms. The a7riii survived just fine. Just requires additional precautions when changing lenses, but beyond that, the camera is great.
Sony a7iii is great for photography, I had 2 & still keeping 1, btw a7C uses same sensor but smaller & lighter body design with various other improvements, smaller evf though. Sony a6100 + Sigma 18-50mmf2.8 apsc - would be a capable overall package while relatively easy to carry/transport.
Currently debating between the a7iii or a7iv. I rarely, if ever do videography so the camera would be mainly for portrait, family, and pet photography. Currently have a Nikon d7500 but would love to switch to mirrorless full frame and have heard good things about both a7iii and a7iv. I would ideally like to use the camera for at least 5 years.
The A7iii is the predecessor to the most current model the A7iv. The A7R cameras are more geared towards photography and the A7riii is the predecessor to the most current model, the A7RIV, however the rumor is the A7RV will be released soon. The A7S series camera is one geared toward video work.
