Is the Microsoft Edge Update 1.3.185.29 safe or virus? So, today (4/25/2024 to be exact) I found out that I had this virus called QTR search (on chrome) and Simple New Tab (On Edge). After digging deeper, I found out that the installation date was 4/5/2024, which the Microsoft update was also installed on.

MS Edge is updating on its own, and I am not sure if there is anyway to stop the auto-update. If you only have a few passwords in Edge and have them listed somewhere, you should be able to solve it, you can run CCleaner, tick 'delete passwords' and 'delete cookies' for Edge Chromium, and Reset Sync-data in Edge by going to Settings - Profile ...
