I have had this problem and have stopped leaving reviews for large well established shops I figure don't need them as much, and only leave reviews for smaller shops, or shops that are just starting out. This has cut down on the spam, but it is unfortunate.

I just want to say that etsy customer service no longer exists for sellers, not sure about buyers. The etsy stock is down 75 percent in less than a year and I believe it will continue down.
Star Seller is meant to celebrate great customer service, no matter the size of the shop. To qualify, you need to have had 10 orders and $300 in sales over the past review period, and also have been on Etsy for 90 days after your first sale.
