The Thunderbird email app on the tablet, which has worked with my Comcast email for years, was not able to access my Comcast email, either at the restaurant or at home. In addition, as you suggested I also tried using my other desktop Windows machine at home to create a new email account in Outlook, but it could not do so either.
When I click on the link to view rewards, it gives me the option to view my email, and if there's an unread email, there's a red dot on the link. When I click on that link with the red dot, it then takes me to a page with the option to view my email. When I click on the "Check Email" option, it then opens my email inside the app.

This is for my secondary account. I use iPhone Mail, and MS Outlook, and the Xfinity Website. I have reset my password and updated my email client. When I try to open my email on the Xfinity website it just spins.
I have been unable to access my email after a forced password reset as well. I have been out for five days. I've called comcast twice and was told that it is a system issue and they are trying to fix it. That doesn't do me any good when I have appointments that need to be confirmed and pre-registered through email. SO frustrating!!!
When I change my cell phone to the cellular network, instead of the home network, I can send email again via comcast. When I hotspot my phone to my laptop, I can send email again as well. There are no firewalls on the network blocking anything from working. My email addresses are legacy, as we moved to a location that comcast does not service.
In the Xfinity app on my Android phone I have: "Account" icon / Account settings / Xfinity ID & Security / Comcast email / Go to inbox-or- "Account and identity" button / Xfinity ID & Security / Comcast email / Go to inbox. But "Go to inbox" is just a link that opens the "connect.xfinity.com" webmail site in a web browser.
