Since it's client-only, it's not different from installing optifine and shaders in your single player minecraft. If you're using just Shaders Mod, you'll need Forge. Install Forge, put the Shaders Mod file in the mods folder, and run the game using your Forge profile. If you're using Optifine with built-in shader support, you can install Optifine and use your Optifine profile. If you do it this way, the Shaders button will be in Video Settings.
I'll probably update this eventually, but for now zip up the minecraft.jar directory, make sure it's still named "minecraft.jar", then install. Back up minecraft.jar before installing this mod. If your graphics card doesn't support GLSL shaders, this mod won't work!

Posts: 2. I've been trying to install and run shaders (on macOS), however every time I boot up Minecraft there's no option in the video settings for it - the button just isn't there. I have double checked every time that I'm running OptiFine (1.20.4), and have checked the OptiFine files, and there is definitely a shader folder, with shaders in it.
