    236. May 22, 2012. #5. We booked our first cruise through Costco they work directly with Disney to make the reservation. The cash card is a great bonus and pretty much the only terms of booking it with them, as cancellation or changing of dates will only be penalized by Disney's policies and not their own. And you can still book your excursions ...

The only things you really to do with Costco are the initial booking, payments, and any changes to the booking that affect the pre-cruise price (cabin changes, cruise changes, transportation changes, pre-paying tips or OBC). If you book online at costcotravel.com, the system will let you choose from available dining times.

When you book with Costco, they call DCL while you are on the phone with them to basically book it with Disney for you. Costco is the go-between. From then on, for any requests that you have, you will need to ...

23,317. Feb 10, 2022. #2. If you are looking at a Disney Cruise, no TA is allowed to discount the cruises beyond the same fares offered by booking directly through DCL. What you DO get with Costco is a Costco card valued at approximately 8% of the cruise fare, after your cruise is completed.

If you click on the link in post #7 it takes you to another thread discussing Costco as a TA. As someone posted, per Costco's website you have to do the booking completely thru them to get the cash card, you can not transfer an existing reservation to them. This info is provided on their...

Dec 8, 2017. #6. The cash card is nice. The only time booking with Costco is an issue, is if you want to do something that involves money - per-pay tips, change a stateroom, add transfers. In those cases, you call Costco and then the Costco agent calls Disney. surran12.

3,221. Mar 5, 2019. #2. This may or may not be a disadvantage, but there is little to no interaction with Costco beyond booking and payment. For us this makes zero difference, and that Costco cash card is a huge bonus that beats pretty well any TA's on board credit offerings.

    120. Oct 25, 2016. #3. You can only book one stateroom at a time on Costco Travel online. You can call if you want an agent to book multiple staterooms at the same time, or you can repeat the online process again twice more. The major concern with Costco is that you really do not have a travel agent that you will always have access to; each ...

No. A placeholder must be transferred to a TA within 30 days of the initial deposit on the placeholder (the $250 when you are onboard).

I booked a food tour for San Juan (city walk with about 6 food stops, plus just the right amount of history talk) through Costco's link. That was in 2014, and still one of our favorite (and most fondly remembered) excursion experiences out of the 3 DCL cruises we've been on - including quite a few more expensive ones through DCL. I like that ...
