Optifine 1.8.9 allows the use of shaders, however any Optifine version before H7 is broken and does not properly integrate the features Forge provides to make my mod work. Download and use Optifine 1.8.9 HD U H7 or newer for compatibility with Shaders. Note that the armor animation might be broken by custom shaders.
