    You might right click your desktop and select New.. Folder and leave it unnamed - then right click that folder and select Properties you will see a change icon button... and it will show the path to the icon that your new folder is using. There are some programs that will extract the .ico's .

When the location services arrow shows up briefly in the system icons area, all the application icons in the taskbar shift to the left. This must be a Windows problem as it occurs consistently across four entirely different computers I'm using.

    The start menu can only be accessed via the keyboard key, and any attempt to click the start button will fail. As others have mentioned, it's impossible to hide the location services icon. If this is as designed, then the centered task bar is bugged. One of the two features is bugged, because they don't work together.

    Thank you for the additional information. While working on creating a shortcut in the app, I discovered you can ask Siri "Open Location Services" and it will open right to the screen that you're wanting, so you can turn it on and off.     The icons for some of the folders stayed as they were, but some changed to a simple brown folder icon: Of the brightly coloured folders, the only one that changed was the green "Downloads" folder, which changed to a plain brown folder icon. I was able to change this back to the default green-coloured folder icon using the "Customise" option.

    Most of the non-metro icons are stored as DLLs in C:\Windows\System32.. I'm not really sure how you might extract them.. The two primary locations are the "shell32.dll" and "imageres.dll"..
