4K video from AppleTV+, Netflix, Disney+ works fine. 4K video when I use the Android TV TNT app to stream the live video feed works fine. When I use the TNT app on the Apple TV it only streams the live feed in HD (grainy and pixelated). Interestingly, non-live shows this works ok after a period of buffering. Hope that helps. thanks
Either there is an on|off setting in the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon) of the Apple TV app, or the app will follow the general device settings for that by default (depends on device). Either the app or your device may have a ‘global’ setting for subtitles and/or closed captioning for upcoming future videos. Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app - Apple Support. During playback, you may (de-)activate subtitles or closed captioning from the Info pane.
Apple TV + is a service that provides original movie and TV content from Apple, it is not a live TV streaming service.
I started having the same issue but only with HBO Max app. While in an episode I swipe down and select Subtitles, Off. The next episode starts and subtitles are ON again. And if the next ep has a trailer and you turn subtitles off during trailer, they come on again when ep starts.

have to daily sign in on my TNT app on my apple tv. requires going to iPhone, and going to TNT on line to get activation code. VERY annoying and cumbersome. Anyone know how to correct this. I have Xfinity (comcast) as my tv provider
AppleTV TNT app not displaying live feed in 4K Has anyone else had problems with the livestream on the TNT app not displaying 4K video? Everything else on the Apple TV works in 4K when available and 4K is displaying correctly when streaming through the Android TV App on the TV.
The "TNT - why join the navy if you can be a pirate" item is more interesting. That's obviously a cracked/pirated/stolen Mac app. Just Google it. Such things often contain malware. What's more interesting is why it shows up that way in the list. It looks like Apple is using more than just the developer names in this settings pane.
