And when Plant sings about squeezing his lemon, he's talking about his penis. Double entendres, folks. More of Zep being cheeky and sex obsessed.
I have a Led Zeppelin in though the out door Sleeve "A" vinyl record . I need to know if it is first pressing, or what I actually have? matrix reads ST-SS-794345-L STRAWBERRY (PR) (SP) 0-5SM2- I have looked all over discogs.com ebay, popsike and I don't understand how to know if its a first pressing or not and what pressing it even is.
The album starts off epic, and ends on a blistering rocking note. No Hot Dog. No "I'm Gonna Crawl" synthy fluff. We have touches of Jones' experimentation in the mighty Carouselambra, and Robert's beautiful ode to Karac, while keeping three songs that have the old Zeppelin stomp plus a fun goofy track in SBS.

There were 6 different covers -- of all them different angles of the same scene; a man sitting at a bar burning at Dear John letter. The Rolling Stones put out truckloads of "safe" albums and no one criticizes them for lack of creativity but when Zeppelin puts out In through the out door so many hate it.After the first 6 albums the bar was raised so high that they were bound to disappoint or "falter" though I can hardly call Presence or In through the out door creative failures
The bar is loosely based on the Old Absinthe House, at 400 Bourbon Street, in New Orleans, just around the corner from the Royal Orleans Hotel (“Royal Orleans” being a song from their Presence album). It was Led Zeppelin's manager, Peter Grant, brainstorming with Jimmy Page, suggested that six distinct covers should be hidden in identical ...
I've pulled out the old collection this weekend and have been listening to ITTOD for a few days. Overall I enjoy the album. The favorites are the obvious choices- In the Evening, Fool in the Rain, Carouselambra and All My Love. There are things about the album that I love and other things that di...
You can see by the poor "sealing" that it's been resealed. I agree with Mr. Jones. Bout $50. If you're willing to spend $600 on the wife go to Rick Barrett's site. His stuff is 100% authentic. He may still even have the collection of all 6 In Through The Out Doors. There are are six album different covers.
Members. 1. Location:Crossville, il. Posted July 28, 2016. Quick question: On the lp sleeve for In Through The Out Door, what is the neon lamp on the back wall? It appears to say Coot. And above it possibly "fully" or even "frilly". I would be curious to know what the meaning behind "frilly Coot" would be....
Location:Traverse City, Michigan. Posted September 19, 2022. Hello. I dont post here very often, but I stumbled across a shockingly well done documentary on ITTOD. Its done by an independent musician who seems to be a real disciple of Led Zeppelin. Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere. Video unavailable. Watch on YouTube.
