The new desktop login pulls-up the browser to fill your credentials and complete the process. If the browser is not popping-up, we'd recommend clearing cache or reinstalling your browser to make sure you're running the latest update. Also, make sure that Google Chrome is set as the default browser in your PC settings.

This stepped worked for me, try logging in with your EMAIL and not your username to login on Spotify. Where it says Login, put your email in and password. And see if that works. If that doesn't work I suggest you try a different browser or using incongnito mode. Also, try using a different device. Hope this helps.

If you're not able to locate the message, it's possible that your account has been temporarily disabled and that's why you're not able to log in.
To start, we recommend logging out from your account everywhere from the Overview Page here. I would suggest trying out this approach to see if it would make a difference: Log in to your Spotify account as you usually do. Under Security and privacy, click Login methods.
